Film: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

The last Planet of the Apes film is the only film I’ve given 10/10.

So that, and my life-long love of primates meant I had to see this, despite the trailer breaking my heart as it showed bad apes doing bad things.

I did have to look away a few times and there were tears. However, this is a fast-paced action film where the younger generation, led by Noa, learns that once upon a time, the kingdom was ruled by humans and their ancestors were caged. Or in the case of their - and my - great hero Caesar, was a lab ape.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes explores if apes and humans can live in harmony. Once Noa learns that humans can talk, aided by the fantastic Orangutan philosopher, Roco, he starts believing this may be possible.

Now to convince everyone else.

I already adore Noa so I’m looking forward to the next instalment.
