View from the room: Maldon, Dublin

It is about a 15 minute trek if all you want is the city centre but otherwise, it works. It’s near the Writers Museum too but I didn’t realise that until someone I knew back home mentioned it so I didn’t make it there.Bathroom
- Towels – three, a little thin and worn out but adequate. No face cloths
- Fast running water in bath tub
- One shelf behind sink for storage
- No handheld shower but good over head shower
- Body wash/Shampoo attached to the wall. No other toiletries
- Toothbrush charge point
- Tissues

- Two single wardrobes facing each other with 9 hotel hangers plus shelves.
Refreshments
- Kettle (attached to a moveable tray unit)
- Fridge (empty, not a mini bar so plenty of space)
This being Ireland, I would have though it’s unheard of not to have a kettle at-arms-length so I took my trusty mini-cafetiere and some good, freshly ground coffee. Found a little (half pint) milk carton in the local shop too.Breakfast: we didn’t try the breakfast. There was a small dining room for it.DressingMirrors in the right places including a full length one in between the wardrobes.Relax & sleep

- Desk and chair with TV on it
- Big bed – with one large winter duvet and 2 pillows plus 2 spares.
Service Mostly adequate, one member of staff particularly enthusiastic and friendly on the day before we checked out and enquired about times, taxis and keeping luggage. No local information in the room or offered at any point. There was no smile upon checking in or checking out.Lighting: Quite dark but adequateRoom 214 suited our needs.
