Movie - The Peanuts Movie (7½/10)
Charlie Brown. Why does everything go wrong for him?His dog Snoopy, loves his unconditionally of course and there lies the first lesson we learn as children. We just have to be nice. Then later we learn being a good person means being nice, loyal, happy and kind while staying true and standing up for ourselves. Between them, The Peanuts gang have all these qualities. The Red Haired Girl is obsessed with her curly locks and infatuated with just one boy at a time.It didn’t take much to be transported to childhood while watching this but in addition, Charlies Brown(e) was the name of my best friend at school’s oldest, estranged and somewhat wayward brother.Watching the animated Charlie Brown blush when spotting the new girl in class and instantly falling in love to the point of doing anything he could to get her attention. He figures girls like a winner so reads a book about being one. He learns to dance enters a talent show – after first having to learn a skill and gets a perfect score in a school test resulting in a special assembly organised in his honour.I love that the concept of love portrayed is that the other person makes you feel like anything is possible.7½/10Smile factor 10/10
