Film - Spiderman: No Way Home
I haven’t seen a Spiderman film for some time but it doesn’t really matter as the film stands alone. For sure there are references to other Marvel films but as with every Spiderman film, it provides a dose of nostalgia for me with memories of reading my older brother’s comics.
Bringing the superheroes in the 21st century (see Eternals) there is considerably less fawning from the females, especially as the world now knows who’s under the mask. It’s great to see Marisa Tomei as the Aunt more of us Aunties can identify with.
The No Way Home instalment of Spiderman is thoroughly enjoyable. It has wizardry magic, science and the role of propaganda, like all good films since about 2016 when the world changed last time around,
It’s also the busiest I have seen the cinema in a couple of years.
