Film - Old

Old is a suspense thriller that had me in giggles. There were so many plot line flaws popping up alongside the lacklustre script that laughter was the best response.

The story of how a bunch of holidaymakers at a resort end up in a forgotten paradise beach but can’t go back to the resort and are left to die, Old tells the story entirely from their perspective. We are left to ponder who is keeping them here and why they are ageing so rapidly that a lifetime goes in a day. And watch as people literally drop dread in mid-sentence. 

Inevitably, once people realise they are rapidly ageing, confessions are told and secrets shared adding up to the only interesting part of the dialogue. That and finally finding out why they are there.

It gave us a giggle.
