Film - Apollo 11

Yes, there have so many films made about man landing on the moon and yet I still learned more from this documentary.

Watching Apollo 11 is like being right there with the three guys heading out to land on the moon. For one, I never remember the third guy, Michael Collins whose name I will remember from now on. Without him, who will have manned the ship while Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong went on their moon walkies? Secondly, I hadn’t clocked how much they discard into space – ie most of the rocket. There must be loads of rubbish out there that other space travellers must come across.

Whether you are into the moon landing or not, it’s hard to ignore with all the amazing 50th-anniversary celebrations going on (I loved the Six Music weekend featuring all things space) this is a beautiful tribute.
