Book: The Revenge Trail by AA Abbott
Book 4 of the trail series is put together as the previous in that there are mercifully short chapters each one focusing on one character at a time. This is probably one of the reasons why I can read these books but not other crime. And because I know the author having met them through book events.
Having said that, I have (regrettably) read a few this year for various reasons - see elsewhere on these pages for the why. This is probably why I turned to this quick, easy read while recovering from my broken arm during a weekend in Tewkesbury.
I already know all of the characters from the first 3 books. This time Kat, the vodka entrepreneur is not seeking revenge but a quiet, sometimes sparkling life with her boyfriend, brother and best mate in Birmingham. But the people who were after her before are still plotting her murder.
I figured one of the businesses was based around the area I now live in as the author writes about ‘the other side of town’, where I live. There’s always an extra level of interest when I read books about Birmingham and this is no exception.
Recommended - especially for light travel reads.
