Movie: The Hobbit

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0k3kHtyoqc]I love love love the Lord of the Rings trilogy.I’ve never got into it on the small screen but love the cinema experience (the way the Hollywood Gods intended for it to be seen).With the Hobbit, I’m dropping in and out of sleep for the first half hour or so but that may have been the heat in the cinema or the fact that December has unusually been a whirlwind of full on work with the amount of events I run.Anyway, I enjoyed the Hobbit. It doesn’t have the wow factor of LOTR but then I don’t think it can top that. It does have the same technicolour dreamcoat vibrancy and huge battle scenes so that kept me happy. The last third (the last hour? It did feel very long!) really did pick up as the story filled out but didn’t conclude so I’m looking forward to part two!7½/10Smile factor 8/10 Follow on Twitter
