Film - Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

Based on the theory that cats have 9 lives, Puss in Boots has reached the end, unless he gets to make a wish. Unfortunately other characters also want the last wish. Top of the list is Goldilocks, adopted by a family of bears who always wants things just right, in a spoilt-brat way.

There is much to like here including the old flame turning up, the cuteness overload with Perrito, the dog who seems to want to be with the cats and of course that death can be around the corner. It’s these 3 we follow as they go on an adventure to find the elusive last wish.

I felt like Little Jack Horner got a rough ride - much rougher than Goldilocks - but maybe I’m not remembering that story correctly.

Puss in Boots delivers fun, family entertainment as a good animation should with an added dose of darkness. I wonder if anyone has measured the bloodshed in this like they do in the action films.
