Film - Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions. What’s not to love? Etc. Etc.

This one, as the name suggests is a prequel describing how Gru’s amnitions to became the world’s greatest/worst villain in the world came to be. Wanting to join the collective of the world’s super villains, the child Gru is challenged to do something evil to prove his worth. 

“Are you pulling on my legs?”

The minions prove as clumsy/charming as always and the adventure is filled with the expected mishaps and sweet moments.

I hadn’t factored that we were in the 70s as the opportunity to give The Rise of Gru an appropriate soundtrack is remiss, although the film is still excellent.
