Film - Marcel the Shell with Shoes On

This film looked delightful and I was looking forward to seeing it.  Especially after the tough watch of The Whale. It wasn’t the film that was disappointing; it was the fact that I missed a full 15 minutes of the start and had no idea what was happening 

We got to the cinema a few minutes after the start time, most often 25 minutes after the published time following adverts, trailers and promos. Today, Costa looked busy but I counted only 2 people in the queue and I needed a hot drink. (Since moving to the Odeon in December, I’ve always bought a hot drink). So we stayed in the queue and got to out seats a full 15 minutes late to find the 90m minute film well into the story. So I have no idea how the oh-so-cute Marcel is found by the person who had moved in and he became an internet star.

I wanted to book again to at least see the start but it the film was only shown at the same time each day a few more times and then it’s gone. So I wanted to note it here as a film I’ve seen but I didn’t watch it as such and came home with the box of Matesers I selected especially to view a cutesy film.

I’ll have to buy them to watch when it reaches the small screen.
