Film - Klaus
A true selfless act sparks another
Initially released in 2019, this is a lovely discovery. An animation detailing the story of the Postmaster General’s spoilt son who is sent away to learn the value of work and his inheritance. He lands in a forgotten, rural village, the unhappiest p[lace on earth. Two rival fractions ravage Smeerenburg and Jesper has been given the challenge of persuading the locals to send letters again.
He comes across a reclusive old guy with a house full of toys and an idea sparks. With the support of a mostly redundant teacher, he sets about his goal so that he can get back home to his life of idle luxury.
A true act of goodwill always sparks another
A modern take on the magic of Father Christmas, this reminds me of the morals learned in the Despicable Me series so it’s unsurprising to learn that one of the people behind that created Klaus. A worthwhile Christmas film.
