Film - Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Indiana Jones fans will enjoy this film, but I found it frustrating. The script has flaws - why would an archaeologist in his 70s go after a stolen relic? And the goddaughter is an irritating sidekick. The only interesting part is the return of the modern-day Nazis.
The goddaughter that ordinarily would have been the natural heir to Indiana Jones but she is in fact the criminal daughter of his late mate who stole the thing.
Helena (played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who admittedly, I’ve enjoyed very little on screen in the past) is the most obnoxious, annoying, exasperating sidekick you can imagine. Maybe he felt guilty that he hadn’t seen her for years and hadn’t been given the guidance godfathers are meant to.
Bringing back the modern-day nazis (which if I recall correctly is an old storyline) is the only interesting thing about this film, which I happily slept through in parts. That and Harrison Ford#s endless lines about being old. At least they didn't .make him out to be the action hero of old. This one is for the loyal fans
