Film - Beckett

Beckett is an American on holiday in Greece with his girlfriend when, due to planned public protests, they are advised to change their hotel booking to a different location. While driving at night with April asleep, he falls asleep at the wheel and the inevitable car accident triggers a whole set of events. This leads him to be being hunted down and the film is about him trying to figure out what he has unwittingly got himself involved in. On top of this, he has just lost April and I think, is feeling guilty about the accident. (Don’t drive at night or tired kids).

Everything is thrown into Beckett: politics, activism, corruption, bereavement and yet it seems to be lacking in the story. This leaves me to drift off a couple of times which is sadly a lot easier when watching a film at home rather than in the cinema where it should be
